We believe that every business owner — including those with disabilities — has the right to access financial intelligence and credit advisory services without encountering barriers created by inaccessible design. Meridian Private Line was engineered to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across all pages of this site.

Our Accessibility Standard

We target compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 is organized around four core principles: content must be Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust. These four principles are commonly abbreviated as POUR.

Perceivable

Information presented in multiple formats accessible to all senses

Operable

Full keyboard navigation; no interaction requires only a mouse

Understandable

Clear language, consistent navigation, helpful error messages

Robust

Compatible with current and future assistive technology standards

Technical Measures Implemented

Semantic HTML and ARIA

  • All pages use semantic HTML5 elements — nav, main, header, footer, aside, article, section — providing structural landmarks for screen reader navigation
  • ARIA labels applied to all interactive elements, navigation landmarks, and informational components that require supplemental description
  • ARIA roles used to communicate the purpose of custom components to assistive technology
  • aria-current="page" applied to active breadcrumb items to communicate current location

Color and Contrast

  • All text elements achieve a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio against background colors — the WCAG 2.1 AA standard for normal text
  • Large text elements (18pt+ or 14pt+ bold) achieve a minimum 3:1 contrast ratio
  • Gold accent color (#B8963E) used for decorative and non-informational purposes only; critical information is never conveyed through color alone
  • Interactive elements have visible focus indicators providing 3:1 contrast against adjacent colors

Keyboard Navigation

  • All interactive elements — links, buttons, form fields — are reachable and operable via keyboard navigation alone
  • Focus order follows a logical, predictable sequence through each page
  • Skip navigation link provided at page top to allow keyboard users to bypass repeated navigation
  • No keyboard traps exist on any page

Images and Non-Text Content

  • All inline SVG infographics include role="img" and descriptive aria-label attributes providing equivalent text descriptions of visual content
  • Decorative SVG elements marked with aria-hidden="true" to exclude from accessibility tree
  • Where photographs or images are used, descriptive alt text is provided

Forms and Interactive Elements

  • All form inputs include associated visible labels and programmatic label associations
  • Error messages are descriptive and programmatically associated with the field in error
  • Required fields are identified both visually and programmatically

Typography and Readability

  • Body text sized at 16px baseline — above the typical readability threshold
  • Line height of 1.7–1.8 throughout body content for improved readability
  • Text can be resized to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • Font families selected for legibility: Inter (body) and Crimson Pro (headings)

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, we acknowledge that some areas may not yet be fully optimized:
